So apparently 3M puts out an interesting and free First Aid manual. Those of us who are professionally trained might get along without it just fine, but I ordered it for information such as this (because when the day arrives and I have a child with a fever you just know I am gonna be freakin'):

call doc if baby under 3 months has rectal temp of 100.5 F or more, 102 F for baby older than 3 months

I continue to groove on Tool's new album. To see why, check out the lyrics to Rosetta Stoned, a song preceded by a long atmospheric recording which sounds as if it came from an English hospital ward. Tool continues to refine their fascination with ETs and UFOs on this track, but what I love (apart from Maynard's tortured and beautiful screams ;) is the irony in this song: so thick you could dredge it all day and not reach the bottom.

Evidently MMW had a close relationship with both John Lurie and many members of the Lounge Lizards.
