Some thoughts, lately
two mockingbirds are
teaching each other new tunes
in the quiet air
having lost a limb
on its east side in the wind
the tree now grows west
my favorite band
not worth sitting outside for
while it rains sideways
teaching each other new tunes
in the quiet air
having lost a limb
on its east side in the wind
the tree now grows west
my favorite band
not worth sitting outside for
while it rains sideways

The Memristor is Discovered
A fourth fundamental type of passive circuit element, the memristor, thought to exist in theory since the 70s, has been proven to work. This is a big deal for digital technology, having the potential to replace transistors and allow for far greater chip density. It will also likely replace RAM and current hard-drive technology, since accessing a crossbar latch (don't ask) built out of memristors takes one tenth the time it takes to access current DRAM technology, and HP has already prototyped a crossbar latch memory that can fit 100 gigabits in a square centimeter versus the 16 gigabits held in the highest-density flash memories on the market today. As the Wikipedia article notes, the memristor has been lovingly, and somewhat appropriately, nicknamed the "flux capacitor" by some.
